GREEK YOGURT
Greek yogurt can be a great choice for yogurt mousse because of its thick and creamy texture. It adds richness and tanginess to the mousse while also providing a nice protein boost. It also provides a smoother texture for your mousse.
DARK CHOCOLATE
Using dark chocolate in yogurt mousse can add depth and richness to the flavor profile. It provides a luxurious chocolatey taste while balancing the tanginess of the yogurt. Just melt the dark chocolate and fold it into the yogurt mixture gently to create a velvety texture. Adjust the amount of chocolate according to your preference for sweetness and intensity of chocolate flavor.

TIPS TO MAKE YOGURT MOUSSE
- Quality Ingredients: Use high-quality chocolate and Greek yogurt for the best flavor and texture.
- Melting Chocolate: Melt the chocolate gently using a double boiler or in short bursts in the microwave to avoid burning it.
- Cooling Time: Allow the melted chocolate to cool slightly before mixing it with the yogurt to prevent the yogurt from curdling.
- Fold Gently: When combining the melted chocolate with the yogurt, fold them together gently using a spatula to maintain the mousse’s light and airy texture.
- Chill Before Serving: After mixing, refrigerate the mousse for at least a few hours or overnight to allow it to set properly and develop its flavors.
- Serve Chilled: Serve the mousse chilled for the best taste and texture.
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- 1 cup dark chocolate (175g)
- Cocoa powder, to dust
- Add greek yogurt in a bowl. If you don’t have greek yogurt, take 2 cups of curd in a muslin cloth and hang it for 30-40 minutes to get rid of excess water and you will be left with 1 cup of hung curd . You can use this instead of greek yogurt.
- Melt dark chocolate over a double boiler or in a microwave.
- Once it cools down completely, add melted chocolate over the greek yogurt and whisk it properly till a smooth consistency is achieved.
- Take a 4 inch springform tin and line it with parchment paper.
- Transfer the mixture in the tin and chill it overnight.
- Demould the mousse once properly set.
- Dust with cocoa powder and serve.
