WHAT YOU’LL LOVE ABOUT THIS

  • Nutrient-Packed
  • Quick and Easy to Make
  • Natural Sweetness
  • Creamy and Delicious

INGREDIENTS USED IN HEALTHY DRY FRUIT MILKSHAKE

  • DRY FRUITS

Dry fruits, including almonds, cashews, pistachios, and dates, are packed with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. They provide a natural sweetness and a delightful crunch to your milkshake, making it a healthier alternative to sugary snacks.

  • MILK

I am using Amul full fat milk in this dry fruit milkshake. If you want you can use plant based milk also like oat or almond milk.

  • ICE CUBES

Ice makes the milkshakes frothy and thus I like to add it in this dry fruit milkshake. If you want you can also skip this ingredient but it will result in a different texture. It will still be super tasty!

  • SAFFRON STRANDS

Saffron is known for its vibrant color, distinctive flavor, and numerous health benefits. When added to a dry fruit milkshake, saffron helps in flavour enhancement, aroma, colour, etc .

WHICH MILK IS USED FOR MILKSHAKES?

You can use whichever milk you have on hand for this dry fruit milkshake but they will taste a little different depending on which one you use. Whole full fat milk or oat milk will be extra creamy, whereas thinner milks like almond milk, toned milk or cow milk will have less of the thick consistency, but may save you a few calories!

TIPS TO MAKE HEALTHY DRY FRUIT MILKSHAKE

  • Soak the Dry Fruits:

Soak the dry fruits (like almonds, cashews, and dates) for a few hours or overnight. This not only softens them but also makes them easier to blend, resulting in a smoother milkshake.

  • Choose a Variety of Dry Fruits:

Use a mix of dry fruits for a well-rounded flavor. Almonds, cashews, pistachios, and dates are popular choices. You can also add walnuts or figs for additional richness.

  • Select the Right Milk:

Choose the type of milk that suits your taste preferences. You can use regular dairy milk, almond milk, soy milk, or any other milk alternative. Each type of milk will impart its unique flavor to the milkshake.

  • Sweetener Control:

Adjust the sweetness according to your taste. You can use honey, sugar, or other sweeteners. Start with a smaller amount and add more if needed, as you can always adjust later.

  • Add a Flavor Twist:

Enhance the flavor by adding a touch of cardamom powder, cinnamon, or vanilla extract. These spices can complement the natural sweetness of the dry fruits.

  • Texture Matters:

If you enjoy a chunkier texture, don’t blend the dry fruits completely. Leave some small pieces for a bit of crunch. If you prefer a smoother consistency, blend until you achieve a velvety texture.

  • Saffron Infusion:

Infuse a few strands of saffron in warm milk before adding it to the blender. This adds a luxurious color and a subtle floral flavor to the milkshake.

  • Chill Ingredients:

For an extra refreshing milkshake, use chilled milk and add ice cubes during blending. This makes the drink cool and satisfying.

  • Garnish Creatively:

Garnish the milkshake with finely chopped or slivered dry fruits for added texture and visual appeal. A sprinkle of chopped pistachios or almonds on top can be both aesthetically pleasing and delicious.

HOW TO STORE THIS HEALTHY DRY FRUIT MILKSHAKE

Although I always advice everyone to consume the milkshake as soon as they are prepared as afterwards the ice cubes also make the milkshake watery and diluted, and they taste best just after they are made but if you want to store it, place it in the fridge in an air-tight container and it’s pretty much done!

EQUIPMENTS USED TO MAKE HEALTHY DRY FRUIT MILKSHAKE

To mix all my ingredients together in, I’m using blender which is super easy to clean and handle, which makes my process totally hassle free!

Not a single day goes in my kitchen when I don’t use a Silicon Spatula, this is the one I recommend. Same goes for my set of Measuring Cups and Measuring Spoons.
