The banoffee pie derives its name from banana and coffee and I love both of these, and thus, there is no reason I have to not be in love with the pie! Not only that, the amazing eggless banoffee pie is a no-bake dessert, and this recipe is a mouthful without any efforts. And contrary to popular belief, it super easy to whip up and by following this recipe, you’ll have a proper balance of all ingredients!
Banoffee Pie Origin
Banoffee pie originates in Sussex, United Kingdom, and is an English pie that has banana and toffee as its major ingredients. It was a play of recipes by chefs Nigel Mackenzie and Ian Dowding who discovered this decadent dessert back in the year 1971 while trying to experiment with condensed milk and fruits. It is now enjoyed worldwide by banana and toffee lovers.
Banoffee Pie Ingredients
Most of you guys get worried about Banoffee Pie and where to get its ingredients from. But this easy banoffee pie recipe is super effortless and also eggless!
I used normal digestive biscuits. You can go with any brand of your choice. Also, this is an eggless banoffee pie without condensed milk, so you don’t have to worry about anything at all! I used pre-made Dulce De Leche in this recipe and it is easily available in any of your nearby supermarkets. Since bananas are the major ingredient in this eggless banoffee pie, make sure that your bananas are properly ripened up. The blacker the better. Moreover, if you worry about whipped cream, don’t worry, I have you sorted there as well because there is an entire blog post on the website on how to make whipped cream which will surely take all your whipped cream nightmares away!
