Chocolate and cranberries are a timeless pairing, and these Chocolate Cranberry Truffles are proof that simple ingredients can create something truly special. Made with just condensed milk, cocoa powder, and dried cranberries, these truffles have a rich, fudgy texture with bursts of sweet-tart cranberry in every bite. They require no baking, no fancy equipment, and come together with minimal effort, making them perfect for beginners as well as experienced bakers.

Whether you’re preparing homemade treats for the festive season, packing edible gifts, serving them at parties, or simply craving an indulgent chocolate snack, these truffles are an easy recipe you’ll find yourself making again and again. The deep cocoa flavour is perfectly balanced by the fruity chewiness of the cranberries, creating a delicious contrast of flavours and textures. Finish them with a dusting of cocoa powder for an elegant, bakery-style look that’s as impressive as it is effortless.

INGREDIENTS USED IN 3 INGREDIENT CRANBERRY TRUFFLES

  • CONDENSED MILK

In these Chocolate Cranberry Truffles, condensed milk is the foundation of the recipe. It provides the perfect amount of sweetness, balancing the natural bitterness of the cocoa powder while creating a rich chocolate flavour. It also acts as the binding ingredient, bringing everything together into a thick, smooth mixture that sets beautifully once chilled. Its creamy consistency gives the truffles their soft, fudgy texture and irresistible melt-in-your-mouth finish, making them rich and indulgent without the need for cream or butter.

  • COCOA POWDER

Cocoa powder is what gives these truffles their deep chocolate flavour, beautiful dark colour, and rich aroma. It adds an intense cocoa taste that perfectly complements the sweetness of the condensed milk while creating a balanced, bittersweet profile. Beyond flavour, cocoa powder thickens the mixture, helping it achieve the dense, fudgy consistency needed for perfectly sliceable truffles. A final dusting of cocoa powder also adds an elegant finish and prevents the truffles from becoming sticky.

  • DRIED CRANBERRIES

Dried cranberries add a delicious burst of fruity sweetness and tanginess that perfectly complements the richness of the chocolate. Their chewy texture creates a delightful contrast to the smooth, fudgy truffle base, making every bite more interesting and flavourful. The slight tartness helps balance the sweetness of the condensed milk, preventing the truffles from tasting overly rich. They also add beautiful pops of colour throughout the truffles, making them just as attractive as they are delicious.

TIPS TO MAKE 3 INGREDIENT CRANBERRY TRUFFLES

  1. To avoid lumps, sift the cocoa powder before mixing it with the condensed milk.
  2. Line your 6-inch dish with parchment paper or plastic wrap. This will make it easier to lift out the set mixture and cut it into pieces.
  3. Use a spatula to smooth the surface of the mixture in the dish. This helps ensure even cutting and a uniform appearance.
  4. Make sure the mixture is fully chilled and firm before cutting. This helps prevent it from becoming too soft and sticky.
  5.  Use a sharp knife to cut the truffles into pieces. Dipping the knife in hot water and wiping it clean between cuts can help achieve cleaner edges.
  6. After cutting, you can dust the pieces with additional cocoa powder to prevent them from sticking together and to enhance their appearance.
  7. Keep the cut truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
