My favourite winter drink—this thick, luxurious hot chocolate that I end up making on repeat the moment the temperature drops. It starts with warm milk whisked together with cocoa, a touch of sugar, sea salt, and the lightest hint of cinnamon, but the real magic happens when the dark chocolate melts in and turns it into something rich, silky and unbelievably comforting. It’s that one cosy drink that makes cold evenings feel softer, slower, and a little sweeter. Every sip is warm, chocolatey, and feels like wrapping yourself in a blanket—my ultimate winter indulgence and the ritual I look forward to all season long.

INGREDIENTS USED IN MAKING HOT CHOCOLATE
-
Milk
Milk creates the rich, creamy base that gives the hot chocolate its signature smoothness. It’s what makes every sip feel warm and comforting, especially on winter nights.
-
Sugar
Sugar adds balanced sweetness and rounds off the deeper cocoa notes without making the drink overly sweet. It just lifts the flavour perfectly.
-
Cocoa powder
Cocoa powder brings that intense, earthy chocolate depth right at the beginning. It builds the foundation of the flavour before the dark chocolate even melts in.
-
Sea salt
just a pinch, but it enhances the sweetness, sharpens the chocolate taste, and adds that subtle contrast that makes the drink feel more gourmet.
-
Cinnamon powder
Cinnamon adds a gentle warmth and a cosy winter aroma that makes the drink feel instantly soothing and festive.
-
Dark chocolate
The heart of the recipe. As it melts, it makes the hot chocolate velvety, thick, and irresistibly indulgent—the exact reason this becomes my favourite winter drink every year.
