If You’re Going to Seoul, Eat Here (My 7-Day Food Guide)

I recently spent 10 days in South Korea, and 7 of those were entirely dedicated to Seoul. And if there’s one thing I did consistently every single day, it was eat. A lot.

Seoul is one of those cities where you don’t just plan your itinerary, you plan your cafés. You step out for one coffee and somehow end up doing four dessert stops in a day without even trying too hard.

This list is everything I ate, loved, bookmarked, and would go back to without thinking twice. From quiet bakeries tucked inside hanok lanes to viral dessert spots that actually live up to the hype.

If you’re heading to Seoul, save this. This is exactly how I’d eat my way through the city all over again.

🥐 Cafés I Loved (and would 100% go back to)

Cafe Onion Anguk

There’s something about this space that just slows you down. It’s set in a traditional hanok, slightly raw, slightly imperfect, and full of character. You grab a tray, pick your pastries, and suddenly you’re not in a rush anymore.
📍 Location: Anguk (near Bukchon Hanok Village)

Artist Bakery

This is one of those quiet bakeries where everything looks simple, but the first bite tells you someone really knows what they’re doing. Soft, buttery, and just the right amount of indulgent.
📍 Location: Anguk area

Cafe Layered

Feels like you’ve walked into a cozy London bakery in the middle of Seoul. The cakes are stacked, the vibe is a little chaotic, and you’ll want to try more than you should.
📍 Location: Ikseon-dong

Soha Salt Pond Ikseon-dong

This place is all about doing one thing really well. Their salt bread is soft, warm, and ridiculously addictive. It’s the kind of snack you think about later in the day.
📍 Location: Ikseon-dong

Cafe Highwaist

Very aesthetic, very put together, but not just for photos. It’s a nice pause in the middle of exploring, with good coffee and desserts that don’t feel like an afterthought.
📍 Location: Seoul

London Bagel Museum Dosan

Yes, it’s viral. Yes, there will be a wait. But the bagels are actually worth it. Soft, rich, and filled generously enough to justify the hype.
📍 Location: Dosan

Antique Coffee Mapo

You walk in and it feels like dessert chaos in the best way. Tables overflowing with cakes, pastries, and things you didn’t plan to eat but will anyway.
📍 Location: Mapo

Cafe Rain Report

This one is less about the menu and more about the experience. It literally rains inside the café, and somehow it’s calming instead of chaotic. Go for the vibe, stay for a slow coffee.
📍 Location: Seoul

Dalim Bread

You’ve probably seen the bear bread already, but what surprised me was how good it actually tastes. Soft, pillowy, and just fun to eat. Not just a gimmick.
📍 Location: Seoul

Cafe 5to7

If you’re in the mood for something indulgent, this is it. Their jiggly pancakes are soft, airy, and disappear faster than you expect.
📍 Location: Seongsu
📸 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/cafe5to7

Standard Bread

Minimal, clean, and focused entirely on good baking. It’s the kind of place where you pick up “just one thing” and walk out with three.
📍 Location: Seongsu

🍝 Restaurants I’d Plan My Day Around

Damsot Ikseon

Comfort food, but elevated. Their rice bowls are rich, flavourful, and feel like a proper, satisfying meal after a long day of café hopping.
📍 Location: Ikseon-dong

Weirdough

A little playful, a little unexpected, but still very comforting. It’s a great dinner spot when you want something familiar with a twist.
📍 Location: Seoul

Cow Tteokbokki

Spicy, saucy, and exactly what you want when you’re tired and hungry. This is proper street-style comfort food, no overthinking.
📍 Location: Seoul

Plantude

Even if you’re not vegan, this place works. The food is clean, thoughtful, and doesn’t feel like it’s missing anything.
📍 Location: Seoul

Ferments

For when you want something a little more layered and interesting. The flavours here feel deeper, slower, and really well put together.
📍 Location: Seoul

Pinch Bar

Slightly more refined, but still relaxed. It’s a good break from all the casual eating, especially for a long, slow lunch.
📍 Location: Seoul
📸 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/pinchbar

Frolla

Italian food in Seoul, but done really well. Fresh, comforting, and worth the effort of getting a table.
📍 Location: Seongsu
📸 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/frolla_seoul

Vegan Kitchen

Casual, easy, and perfect when you don’t want a heavy meal. Feels like a simple, reliable dinner spot.
📍 Location: Seoul

Myeongdong Joomak

Nothing fancy, just a solid, comforting Korean meal. Exactly what you want at the end of a long day.
📍 Location: Myeongdong
📸 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/myeongdong_joomak

Don’t try to rush through this list.

Pick a few places each day, walk between them, sit a little longer than you planned, and always leave space for one more dessert.

That’s how Seoul really works.
