VANILLA CAKE
 
 
Ingredients
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 cup castor sugar
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1+1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • Dark chocolate ganache
  • 1 cup chocolate (175g)
  • 2 cups freshcream
Instructions
  1. In a bowl add milk and vinegar ,mix it well and set it aside for 5 minutes.
  2. Then add sugar, oil, vanilla and whisk it properly, till all the sugar is dissolved.
  3. Lastly sift in flour, baking powder, baking soda and give it one final mix till you achieve a smooth lump free batter. Do not overmix at this stage.
  4. ⁠Transfer the batter into a heavy bottom non stick pan.
  5. ⁠Place a bigger heavy bottom pan on medium heat and fill it halfway with water.
  6. ⁠Now place the smaller pan with the cake batter onto it, cover it with lid and bake the cake on medium heat for 1 hour . Once a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean, you know the vanilla cake is done .
  7. ⁠Let it cool slightly before you flip the pan onto your plate and demould the cake.
  8. Prepare the chocolate ganache by heating the cream in a pan or a microwave and add chopped chocolate in it , mix it till a smooth ganache is made.
  9. Pour the ganache over the cake and serve .
