Rinse the quinoa 2-3 times with clean water and soak in water for 30 minutes. Sieve and pat dry the quinoa after 30 mins.
Take the rinsed and soaked quinoa in a non stick pan set over medium heat and toast until slightly brown and fragrant. Let it cool.
De-seed 20 dates and soak them in ¾ cup boiling water for 15 minutes.
In a blender jar, add the soaked dates, almonds, oats, cocoa powder and some of the reserved dates water. Blend till everything is nicely combined. It should resemble a rough dough. Feel free to add more water if the mixture is not cohesive at this stage.
Transfer the dates mixture in a bowl and add the toasted quinoa over it. Combine well using your hands.
Divide the dough into equal portions and shape each portion into a small ball by rolling it in between your palms.
