STICKY DATE PUDDING
 
 
Ingredients
  • 6 medjool dates, chopped
  • ½ cup water
  • ¼ tsp baking soda
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 6 tbsp butter, softened
  • 6 tbsp flour
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon powder
  • Toffee sauce
  • ½ cup butter
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup fresh cream
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
  1. Process-
  2. Preheat the oven at 180 degrees Celsius and prepare 700 ml oval glass dish.
  3. Start by roughly chopping the dates and then add hot water and baking soda in it. Keep this aside.
  4. In a separate bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until light and pale.
  5. Fold in the dry ingredients & dates mixture. Combine until smooth.
  6. Pour the batter in the prepared dish greased with butter and bake it for 25-30 minutes.
  7. To make the toffee sauce, melt the butter and sugar in a saucepan set over medium heat. When the mixture is simmering, whisk in the cream and bring it to a boil, stirring continuously as it will bubble up vigorously. Make sure the cream is at room temperature, not cold. Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
