Whole wheat banana bread- No refined sugar!
 
 
Ingredients
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • ½ tsp ginger powder
  • ½ cup softened butter
  • ⅓ cup jaggery powder (Shakkar)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1+ ½ cup mashed bananas ( about 5 bananas)
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • ½ cup milk
  • ¼ cup walnuts
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 180 celsius,
  2. In a bowl, combine your dry ingredients- flour, baking powder, baking soda, spices and mix well.
  3. In a large bowl, add butter and jaggery powder. Cream them both.
  4. Once it looks fluffy, throw in your eggs and mix well.
  5. Mix the bananas into the butter mix. Add the milk and mix well.
  6. The batter looks curdled. Add the dry ingredients and fold them in.
  7. Add the walnuts or any other nuts of your preference.
  8. Shift your batter into a prepared loaf tin.
  9. Bake your bread for 45-50 minutes until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
