No-Yeast Instant Bread
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour (aata)
  • 2 cups all purpose flour (maida)
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (optional)
  • ¼ cup salted butter (melted)
  1. Line your baking tray with parchment and pre heat your oven at 220°C.
  2. In a bowl, put milk and add vinegar to it. Mix this well and let it rest for 15 minutes.
  3. In a large bowl, add all purpose flour, whole wheat flour, and baking soda. Mix these together. If you've chosen to add sugar just like I did, then you can add it in now.
  4. Once the sugar is combined with the flours and baking soda, add in the milk and vinegar mixture. Add in the melted butter also and mix everything till the dough comes together.
  5. While bringing the dough together, make sure to not overowork it.
  6. Once the dough has come together, dust your table top with flour and tranfer the dough on the table top.
  7. Using your hands, shape the dough into a circle and transfer it onto your baking tray.
  8. For the first 20 minutes, bake your bread at 220°C. After that, bake your bread at 200°C for 30 more minutes.
  9. Once baked, let the bread cool completely and then cut into it. Enjoy!
