Banana Cake with Brown butter
  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • Icing sugar to top
  • ¼ cup crumbled walnuts
  1. Pre-heat your oven to 180 degrees and prepare your cake tin
  2. On a saucepan on medium flame, add softened butter carefully. Stir the butter on medium flame until you obtain a golden-brown color of the butter.
  3. Carefully pour the melted butter in a mixing bowl and add the brown sugar. Mix thoroughly.
  4. Add two eggs- one at a time and mix well with the butter and sugar mixture.
  5. Add the dry ingredients- flour, cinnamon, and baking powder into the bowl. Mix until all the ingredients are well combined.
  6. To this mixture, add the mashed bananas and subsequently add the walnuts and mix well.
  7. Bake at 180 degrees for 25 minutes or until a skewer inserted in the middle comes out clean.
  8. Serve with icecream.
