BANANA CHOCOLATE CAKE IN A PAN

Ingredients
  • 2 medium bananas
  • 3 tbsp chocolate spread
  • ½ cup jaggery powder
  • ½ cup oil
  • 5 tbsp yogurt
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 + ¼ cup whole wheat flour
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp cinnamon powder
  • For the garnish
  • Banana slices
  • Chocolate chips
Instructions
  1. Add two peeled bananas to the pan and mash them thoroughly until mostly smooth with a few small rustic lumps remaining.
  2. Add the jaggery powder, chocolate spread, neutral oil, yogurt, and milk to the mashed bananas. Whisk vigorously until the mixture is uniform, glossy, and completely smooth.
  3. Sift in the whole wheat flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and cinnamon powder. Whisk well to form a smooth batter.
  4. Smooth the top, then artfully arrange your fresh banana slices across the surface.
  5. Place a bigger tawa or pan over low heat and let it heat for 5-10 mins. Then, place the pan with the cake batter over it and cover with a lid. Let the cake bake for 25-30 mins or until a skewer inserted in the centre comes out clean.
  6. Add the chocolate chips once the cake is done and cover it once again for 3-4 minutes till the chocolate chips melt.
  7. Let it cool completely in the pan before slicing.
