IMLI CANDY
 
 
Ingredients
  • 400-500g sweet tamarind
  • 2 tbsp icing sugar
  • 1½ tsp black salt (kala namak)
  • 1 tsp roasted cumin powder
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp chaat masala
  • Superfine sugar for coating
Instructions
  1. Remove the shell and deseed the tamarind.
  2. In a mortar pestle, add tamarind, icing sugar, black salt, roasted cumin powder, red chilli powder and chaat masala.
  3. Mash everything together till the mixture becomes smooth and comes together like a dough.
  4. Roll into small bite-sized balls and coat with superfine sugar.
