CURLY CHURROS
 
 
Ingredients
  • 1 cup water
  • ¼ cup butter (55g)
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • ¾ cup all purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • Oil, for frying
  • Cinnamon sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 5 tbsp sugar
Instructions
  1. Pour water into a saucepan set over medium heat. Add in the butter and sugar.
  2. When the mixture comes to a boil and butter and sugar have completely dissolved then add all the flour at once.
  3. Mix well until the flour is incorporated and there are no lumps. Allow the dough to cool at room temperature.
  4. When the dough has cooled down, add the egg and vanilla and mix well until everything comes together.
  5. Transfer the dough into a piping bag fitted with open star nozzle.
  6. ⁠Pipe the dough onto a tray lined with parchment paper and freeze for 30-40 mins.
  7. ⁠Now, in a kadhai, add the oil and let it come to optimum frying temperature. Carefully fry the churros until they’re golden brown.
  8. ⁠Coat the churros in cinnamon sugar and serve .
