6 minute Milk Cake in microwave
- For the sponge
- ¾ cup milk
- 2 tsp vinegar
- ¾ cup castor sugar
- 6 tbsp oil
- ½ tsp vanilla
- 1 + ¼ cup flour
- ½ tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
- For the soaking liquid
- 1 cup milk
- ½ cup condensed milk
- Grease & line a 7 inch silicon mould & keep it aside.
- Add milk & vinegar to a bowl & mix well. Keep it aside for 5 minutes.
- Add the castor sugar, oil, vanilla to the milk mixture & mix well.
- Add the flour, baking powder & baking soda to the bowl & mix well till the batter is smooth & there are no lumps.
- Add the batter to the lined silicon mould & bake in the microwave on regular heating mode for 6 minutes.
- Remove from the microwave after 6 minutes & let the cake cool slightly before demoulding.
- Place the cake on a dish & poke holes all over the cake.
- For the soaking liquid, combine the milk & condensed milk & mix well.
- Pour the soaking liquid on the warm cake evenly for better absorption.
- Combine another 1 cup milk & ½ cup condensed milk & pour over the cake and on the sides of the cake.
- Garnish the cake with whipped cream & strawberries.
- Refrigerate the cake for 1 hour before cutting into slices & serving.
