EGGLESS ZEBRA COOKIES
 
 
Ingredients
  • ¼ cup (55g) butter, softened
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • ¼ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup flour
  • ⅛ tsp baking powder
  • 3 + 1 tbsp milk
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
Instructions
  1. In a bowl, add softened butter and powdered sugar and vanilla. Whisk it till it’s light, fluffy and pale in colour.
  2. ⁠Then add flour, baking powder and 2 tbsp milk and form it into a smooth dough.
  3. ⁠Divide the dough into 2 equal halves. Add in cocoa powder and 1 tbsp milk into one half of the dough.
  4. ⁠Further divide each portion into 4-5 small balls and roll them out into equal rectangles.
  5. ⁠Stack them alternatively in an uneven manner to resemble a zebra pattern.
  6. ⁠Wrap the stacked dough tightly to make a cuboid and refrigerate for 30 mins .
  7. ⁠Preheat the oven at 180 degrees for 5 mins and prepare a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  8. ⁠Neatly cut the dough into slices and lay them on the prepared tray.
  9. ⁠Bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes until slightly brown around the edges.
