GULAB JAMUN CHURROS
 
 
Ingredients
  • 1 cup water
  • 1+1/2 tbsp butter (20g)
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • 1 tsp saffron strands
  • 1 tbsp rose water
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • SUGAR SYRUP
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • Saffron
  • Cardamom
Instructions
  1. Add water in a saucepan, set at medium heat along with butter, sugar, cardamom, saffron and rose water.
  2. ⁠Once the mixture comes to a boil, take off theheat and add in the flour while mixing continuously.
  3. ⁠Cook it again for 2-3 mins until the dough comes together and forms a film at the bottom of the pan.
  4. ⁠Transfer it to a piping bag with a large nozzle once cooled down.
  5. ⁠Pipe diretly in the pan and fry for 3-4 mins or until golden brown
  6. ⁠For the sugar syrup, take a saucepan set over medium heat and heat water, sugar, cardamom powder and saffron till it starts to boil and the liquid becomes thick.
  7. ⁠Dip the churros in the sugar syrup and plate them on the serving dish along with a garnish of chopped pistachios on top.
