  • A charming old town on the Penghu Island✨. Old, traditional-style houses are among the most engrossing of Penghu's many cultural attractions. I was so fascinated by the  relief carvings, windows, doors, and eaves in the classic southern Fujian style.   • Sharing the most incredible experience with you guys- definitely my favourite part about our Taiwan vacay. We went snorkelling yesterday into the ocean from Qimei island in Taiwan. After a while, @tanyakhanijow and I took off our life jackets and swam into the ocean. I’ve never experienced anything more liberating and exciting. To touch the stunninggg corals and feed the fish underwater was almost unreal. I’ve always liked swimming but I never thought I’d love being under the sea so much!   • Morning! We left our hotel at 8am yesterday and a boat took us to Qimei Island. After an hour and a half of a very scenic ride, we reached the island that became my favourite part of the entire Taiwan trip. Besides the most incredible snorkeling experience, that I’ll talk about in my next post, I was awed by the beautiful landscapes and rock formations. If you look to the top right corner of the first picture, you’ll see a rock formation that is called the Twin Hearts. It is actually a well-preserved ancient fish trap made by stacking stones to form a trap that resembles a flying heart.   • It was such an exciting third day on Penghu Island. Sharing this amazing picture of our dinner at Cauliflower Old Memory Restaurant, captured by the incredibly talented @assadajd⭐️. We’ve been having such good food on the Penghu Island! I’m so happy with the vegetarian food and you’ll be surprised to see that there are lots of veggie options available here ( for those who’ve been asking- I stopped eating meat almost 3 years back). After the dinner, we headed to the opening ceremony of the Fireworks Festival ( swipe right to see the videos I made). It was so magical to see the sky light up with a beautifully orchestrated show of fireworks🎆🎇. After watching the fireworks in Sydney  on New Years Eve a few years back, I got to experience something so magical only now.
